At last there is a Spanish amazon site. But, like many others, I assumed it would be far more expensive than the UK site, even taking into account the postage to Spain. However, it appears I was wrong…. My daughter needed to get a copy of “Pride and Prejudice” in English for her English studies. The Spanish students are studying an abridged version but, the English teacher decided that my daughter, due to her English roots, could read the original version.
We looked on Amazon UK and the price for the particular publication she needed was £14 plus £5 postage which was much more than we expected. The same book – in English – on the Spanish site was €9 plus €2 postage. With the current exchange rate, that’s €10 cheaper…
