DELISS – Tapas bar Sabinillas beach promenade

This evening we tried out the new Deliss tapas bar on the Sabinillas beach promenade.

It actually opened in the spring of this year “2011” but we hadn’t got round to trying it.

Juan Jose is the owner and friendly face of the Deliss tapas bar. The menu is in English, Spanish and German and the tapas are delicious. We ordered a half ration of meatballs ( 5€) and a half ration of prawns pil pil (5€), followed by some tapas of Russian salad, chicken pinchitos, spicy pork kebas and some montaditos ( small roll´s), all generous in size and all priced at only 2 €.

The food quality was excellent and the half portions were huge, easily as big as a full portion in many other restaurants.

If you are a fan of  the cocktail Mojito- you must try the Mojito at Deliss. Perfectly prepared, just enough mint, plenty of ice and it went down a treat.

The location is perfect, front line Sabinillas, so the kids can run along the front and tire themselves out while the adults can sip the Mojitos, fill up with tapas, watch the world go by and admire the view.

The only downside is that they didn’t have a high chair for the baby.

I guess they don’t want to attract too many crying kids…
