The day kicks of at 4pm with the traditional cavalcade through the streets of Manilva, Sabilnillas and Castillo. Expect to see several floats, lots of exuberantly dressed people as well as live music and Brazilian dancers.  The cavalcade will leave from the Castillo in Duquesa, passes through Sabinillas and end in Manilva. It is traditional that everyone follows the parade up to the sports pavilion…bit of a trek from Castillo…however any child dressed in fancy dress can ride on the floats…great fun for the kids.

Registration for the children’s fancy dress competition starts at 5pm. Every child participating will receive a merienda (drink and snack) courtesy of the town hall

New this year are several children’s workshops which will be held during the afternoon in the pavilion, as well as an interactive children’s theatre production about the circus. The winners for the children’s fancy dress will be decided via a draw – much fairer – and prizes will be given.

After the kids prize giving, the music begins and continues until midnight when its the turn of the adults fancy dress competition. There are prizes for both individual and group. Registration for this starts at 11pm.

After this, the music continues with two DJs into the early hours of the morning…..would we expect anything less!!
