Finally……..after requests from almost everyone in Manilva, it has been agreed that there will be a Pedestrian Footbridge crossing the main A7 road at the Lidl’s roundabout.
In fairness to Manilva council, it wasn’t up to them…they had to badger the highways department who finally relented and gave permission to construct the footbridge.
Fortunately, no one has been injured or killed whilst trying to cross the road at this point but it really is an accident waiting to happen….however this doesn’t stop the dozens of people who attempt to cross the road here to go to Lidl or to the market on a Sunday
This is Spain so there’s still some bureaucracy to get through but it is hoped that the footbridge will be finished before the start of summer 2015.
