Buying and Selling a Property in Spain

There is quite a lot of bureaucracy involved when purchasing or selling a property in Spain. Unfortunately, many people trying to buy for the first time may get their fingers burnt. It is advisable to use a recommended lawyer and ensure all checks have been carried out by your agent or lawyer.

It is always best to know your stuff and understand a little bit about the buying process. I am always amazed by some of the stories I hear. Many times, problems can be avoided just by understanding the basics and undertaking the basic checks.

Strangely enough, one of the things that seem to hit people hardest are the full costs involved in the process. There seem to be so many hidden costs. Prior to even beginning your search, I would recommend you sit down and budget. It seems obvious but sometimes the sun and sangria can take the lead and we can get carried away.
