The Sports delegation of Manilva have organised a trip to Malaga to see the “Minicopa del Rey”. The “Copa del Rey” (Kings cup) is a huge annual basketball tournament with Spain’s best teams competing to be champions. Alongside this event, is the “Minicopa del Rey” where the top 8 ranked children’s teams in Spain compete in a knock out championship.
These events have previously been held in Madrid but return to Malaga this year at the prestigious Martin Carpena stadium. The main event is held over 4 days from 6th to 9th February with the Minicopa being held on the 8th.
The sports delegation are inviting all pupils from years 4, 5 and 6 of primary school to attend the event. Tickets and transport are free!! The coach leaves Manilva at 9am and returns at 2pm
