Santa Ana Church Manilva re-opens in February

One of Manilva’s outstanding and renowned landmarks, the Santa Ana Church has undergone an extensive repair and restoration programme.

The church, which originally dates from 1783 has not had any substantial work performed on it for since the 1960’s and was in desperate need of repair.  Given the history of the church and it’s importance to the village, the local government passed the bill, allowing over €400,000 worth of work on the church.

As in many Spanish villages the church is the main focal point with not only the normal weekly church services being held there but also special masses for the many celebrations in the Village’s fiestas calender!!

The “new” church will be officially re-opened at the inauguration ceremony  on 8th February at 7pm.  All residents and visitors are invited.
