Sabinillas Beach awarded blue Flag yet again

Yet again, Sabinillas and Castillo beaches have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag.  The Blue Flag is an internationally recognised award for the “best” beaches. Strict standards have to be met and maintained from water quality and accessibility to safety and environmental issues.  Sabinillas has achieved this standard and award for several years.

Sabinillas beach is  is 1700 meters long and 50 meters wide and runs between puerto de la Duquesa and the Manilva river (border with Casares).  Apart from the fabulous promenade with all it’s bars and restaurants, there is always other activities going on on the beach, There is a beach volleyball pitch, normally trampolines ect for the children is the summer and various play parks (however, only advisable to use in the evenings…far too hot during the day!!)

The beach has full disabled access with a special pavilion at the western side of Sabinillas.  There are lifeguards on duty throughout the summer and the beach is regularly patrolled by the civil protection agency for Manilva.
