I live in Manilva village and my son attends the local school. Normally we walk to school and I can generally be there and back in about 10 minutes (providing I don’t stop for a gossip with the other Manilva mums!). However, yesterday we awoke to a very wet and windy day so I decided to drive him to school – BIG mistake!! It was absolute chaos as every other mum had had the same idea. The traffic stopped before we even got to the school road and when we did finally get there, there was no where to park. I ended up having to drop him as near to the gates as I could and let him run the rest. Overall a 25 minute journey – next time it’ll be brollys up. wellies on and RUN!!!!
