What’s selling at the moment?? Casares del Sol bargain apartments. This is the typical question I get asked each day.  Well to be honest, the bargains.  And boy are there good bargains out there.   Property prices have fallen significantly and to be honest, I feel this is the time to pick out the jewels amongst the dead wood.  This is a buyer’s market.  Despite being a buyers market, buyer’s need to really look for good quality specifications and focus on top locations.  This is what is going to give them an edge if they want to sell in the future.

Trawling the market and searching for these jewels, Casares del Sol is one of those urbanisations that stands out in my mind.  We have some fantastic deals on these apartments ranging from 105,000 euros for a ground floor apartment.  Up on the rolling mountainside, set in the Andalucian countryside, on the way to Casares and only 800 metres away from the blue flag beaches of Casares, Casares del Sol is in an idyllic position commanding breathtaking mountain and sea views.

Location

Casares del Sol is located in the Casares area.  Casares lies within the Province of Malaga. Casares is located on the Costa del Sol and is located close to two interntional airports; Malaga at just 45 minutes away and Gibraltar, about 30 minutes away, making it truly accessible for those wishing to fly in from abroad.  At only 20 minutes form Marbella, Casares is an ideal place to go to to feel the culture of traditional Spain, whilst still being close enough to a great day out in Puerto Banus, with its large Corte Ingles department store and incredible yachts and glitzy atmosphere.

Casares del Sol is very well located and borders the exclusive Golf Resort of Finca Cortesin, which staged the 2010 Volvo Golf Championships.   Hotel Finca Cortesin is a 5 star deluxe Spa, Golf and Hotel complex.  For keen golfers, there is a 9 hole course in the near by Casares Costa Golf golf course and another 18 hole course at the Doña Julia Golf course, all just at Casares del Sol’s door step.  For those who want to venture further – the notorious, Sotogrande’s Valderama course is just 10 minutes away.

At just a short walk away from the beautiful sandy beaches of Casares and Manilva with traditional beach bars and excellent fish restaurants, such as La Sal,Casares del Sol shows the best of what Spain has to offer.  Just close by, one can visit the town of Sabinillas, once  a tiny fishing village.  Sabinillas has a lovely promenade and lots of restaurants and bars to chose from, including the fantastic Argentnian Grill, El Estribo – a must for those meat-lovers.  For those looking for a little more of a lively atmosphere, Marina de la Duquesa is also just minutes away and this Marina offers a number of restaurants offering international cuisine from Indian food to Chinese and Mexican.  If, however feeling too lazy to take a car, only 200 metres from Casares del sol itself is the newly opened Brasserie.

A must see, local treasure, is the historic white village of Casares which is just 15 minutes by car.   Walk through the narrow streets of Casares, enjoying the sleepy siesta feel and the typical village environment.  Visit the castle and enjoy traditional ‘tapas’ in the old town’s square.  A truly picturesque journey up the mountains with some exquisite restaurants nestled within these hills.  Some fantastic places to eat at, include The forge (remember to book if you wish to go as it is very popular) and Arroyo Hondo (also need to book).
