Don’t want to speak too soon but it does like like summer has arrived which means at least one visit to the water park (or as many times as the kids can convince us to take them..) . One of the best in the area is Bahia Park in Algeciras. It’s about a 30 minute drive from Sabinillas.
It has many different waterslides, a wave pool, family pool and children’s pool area. It really does cater for all ages. Some of the slides require rubber rings – you can either queue up for these rings on each individual ride or hire your own for the day. It really shortens the queuing time if you have your own ring. We normally go with several friends so hire maybe 2 or 3 floats between us and the kids just share.
Bahia Park opens on 15th June and will remain open until September. You can get a full day or half day ticket and they offer several packages where, for example a child goes free. Check out the offers here
It’s also an idea to check out some of the larger supermarkets such as carrefour as they quite often give away discount vouchers if you spend a certain amount.
There are picnic facilities but if you wish to lunch there there are several cafes, a pizzeria and a self service restaurant which serves a reasonably priced menu del dia.
